Flowers Forever: Flowers Forever
The first winter’s touch, an eroding yet indulgent thrill
A slow yet subtle poison, disguised with ease and skill.
Yet MY SPIRIT, once a vibrant garden full of bloom
Soon became an icy heath, left barren with gloom.
Long biting breeze ate away at the delicate petals once so bright,
Hope, once blooming and bustling, faded away, day by day, night by night.
Eyes shuttered and winter passed, the teeth grew weak
The soft gaze of the sun revealed forth; a whisper, no, a commanding squeak.
Spring whispered secrets of change and rebirth anew
It offered an anchor; restoration of the garden with grass green and skies blue.
New flowers unfurled, hesitant, then bold
They stretched tall for the sun, a story awaiting to be told.
Spring whispered a promise eternally true,
The garden remembers, and learns from winter’s cruel hue.
My spirit, reborn, basks in the sun’s gentle, golden, light.
No longer bound to the dance of winter’s eternal night.
