How I cherish the crystalline pictures the stars paint

Each star another twinkling friend-

Their beauty is clear and close, yet far and faint.

Despite that, I will cherish the stars until the end 

The stars are my closest companion, but I bear no complaint.

I stare at them for hours, their beauty I cannot comprehend.

No earthly being could ever compare.

To what I have for the stars,

A deep care.
