Writetober 2023, Day 10: 'The Flight Gone Wrong'

 Every summer, a young couple, Darl and Amalia, would take a vacation. As the summer grew closer, the couple talked about where to go. They had five choices: Spain, Puerto Rico, England, the Netherlands, or Arizona. Finally, the couple decided on England, and bought flight tickets. After months of waiting, the first day of vacation finally arrived. As they drove to the airport, Amalia looked at the window in amazement. Once getting inside, Amaila admired the size of the airport. Darl nodded and pointed to their airplane. Amaila ran straight to it. There were only 3 other people on the luxurious first class plane. Amaila went to the pilot and said, ”We are just going to England! We have our tickets right here!” She gave the pilot the tickets then took her seat. 

Soon after, an eerie pause ripped through the warm atmosphere of the plane like a knife through melted butter. The pilot silently muttered, ”Why do I work here?” Later, the P.A turned on and the pilot announced they would be briefly landing at a different airport. After landing, the couple heard a bloodcurdling scream. The couple looked out the window and searched for the pilot. Darl went out to the cockpit to find the pilot, instead finding a blood-soaked body. Darl returned, frightened. “What’s wrong, Darl?” questioned Amalia. 

Darl looked confused and went to the cockpit, attempting to show her his findings. To his surprise, the body was gone! “Something else must have happened to the pilot. I know you have pilot experience, so why don’t you fly the plane?” responded Amalia. Darl nodded and quickly ran to the cockpit.

 4 hours later, a tall, dark, blood-red creature landed on top of the plane. It punched its way through the plane, landing directly into the cockpit. It growled then said,”You are in my territory.. You’ll pay like the last person, unless you get out right now.” Darl screamed no. The monster commandeered the plane and shut off the lights to scare the couple. Or at least that’s what the couple thought. Soon, they learned that the monster was hiding in the darkness. Unfortunately, the monster strook the couple when they least expected it. No one ever saw the couple again...

5 years later, there was a news broadcast. It said,” It has been five years since the mysterious flight murder. Today, the monster finally was caught and was put in a monster-proof jail. After 5 years, we’re now safe!” It turned out that the monster-proof jail was not as monster-proof as they thought. The monster broke out, unleashing its terror upon the world.
